two fires
Busy day in salem standards anyway, started with an illegal outside burn that l-121 controlled. This was then followed by a reported structure on gungy rd. Firefighters on scene reported smoke showing with no visible fire. Upon investigation a small fire was discovered in a bathroom with minor extension into a wall. L-121 along with ET-121 and R-127 held the scene. 80 was in order in about 30 minutes. Thanks to colchester, lyme, and mohegan tribe for the response.

Fatal Rte 82
Late Friday night the two town departments were struck out for a 2 car mva possibly with entrapment. Car 21 was in the area and arrived on scene almost immediately. Life star along with 2 medics and another ambulance were started and entrapment was confirmed. ET 121 and Rescue 127 went right to work taking the doors of the truck. Unfortunately the driver did not make it.

1075 Mobile Home
On march the 10th about midnight tones ran out for a reported working structure fire. While in route units were informed that it was a working fire with a possible exposure problem to a neighboring building. Cars 21 and 121 were first on scene followed by ladder 121 within 30 seconds. 3 lines went right into operation and with only ten minutes and about 300 gallons the fire was brought under control.

MVA Ejection 82&354
Sat night tones struck for a 2 car with injuries on Rte 82 at Rte 354. First officer on scene reported heavy damage with one patient ejected. Et-121 which had been finsiing things up at the burn house stepped up the response with the squad close behind. Injuries varied with a total of four transports.

Triple Fatal I95
Friday morning about 11:30 tankers from Salem and Gardner Lake were dispatched to East Lyme for a tanker accident on interstate 95. On arrival units found out that there were four vehicles and to Semi's involved, one being a tanker trailer carrying 8500 gal of diesel fuel which was spewing everywere. Three victims doa on arrival still entrapped with 3 others and 1 k9 out. Companies and resources from Flanders, Niantic, Old Lyme, Waterford, Cohanzie, Oswegotchie, Pfizer, Sub Base, Norwich, Lisbon, Salem, Gardner Lake, Oakdale, Chesterfield were all on scene for many hours.

Structure Fire Lyme Fully Involved
06:19 Sunday the 29th tones struck for T-121 to go to Lyme for a working structure fire. While in route Ladder 121 was started also. The fire was through the roof when the first units arrived and defensive ops went into action. Aerial master stream went into action when the squrt arrived and the blaze was brought under control in about 2 hrs.
